Floor sweeping compound (similar to standard red label formulations) is a specially formulated, slightly damp, particulate material—often made from a blend of sawdust, sand, and oils or waxes. Before sweeping, it is scattered across hard floors in warehouses, workshops, or factories. As the floor is swept, the compound attracts and traps fine dust, dirt, and debris, preventing it from becoming airborne and settling elsewhere.
